The Argent Biodiesel production will be further expanded in the coming years through the construction of a new production plant at our location in Amsterdam. As a result, the maintenance team needs a:

Teamlead Maintenance Planner

Fulltime based in Amsterdam


Main purpose of the job:

The team lead planning is responsible for development and implementation of an efficient and effective workflow process on maintenance planning and execution. The scope of actions comprises breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance (inspections), modifications and shutdown activities. The team lead needs to keep track on the maintenance / planning performance and manages the planning team to perform optimally. The team lead covers all maintenance planning activities for site Argent Amsterdam: Biodiesel plant, Tank Terminal, Glycerine plant, Waste Water treatment and Cleaning. The role involves close cooperation with maintenance technicians, operations staff, contractors (supervisors) to ensure the efficient execution of maintenance tasks while minimising downtime and optimising resource usage. The role involves both strategic planning and day-to-day scheduling to enhance operational reliability and equipment longevity. Focus is on enabling safe job execution based on accurate preparations including PTW, TRA and LOTOTO.

About the job

  • Utilising the CMMS to develop detailed maintenance plans and schedules, for all corrective and preventive maintenance activities.

  • Ensure 100% compliance for safety, environment and critical (SECE) equipment schedule completion (PDCA).

  • Manage turn around on scope, job preparation, safe execution, budget. Coordinate on all involved disciplines.

  • Coordinate on PG29/EEMUA 159 (tank) inspections. Liaise with inspection partners and construction companies for repair.

  • Monitor the progress of maintenance activities and ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner.

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the labour, materials, and RAMS are in place prior to scheduled work being executed.

  • Generate and present reports on maintenance performance, key metrics, and equipment downtime.

  • Lead planning and schedule meetings to review daily/weekly work schedules and backlogs.

  • Track and monitor job costs using CMMS  to ensure alignment with maintenance budget.

  • Contract supervisor for scaffold, insultation and jetting.

  • Work with Procurement to identify contract opportunities and improvements and to manage suppliers on performance.

  • Work closely with the Stores Material Controller to ensure stock levels for critical spares are maintained.

  • Order preparation according to RTP process and in line with MOA and act as an Key user.

  • Manage planning department, planners on performance and ensure right service level.

About You

You recognize yourself in the following competences: leader, planning and organisation skills, critical, systematic, budget awareness, communicative & independent. In addition, you have:

  • A completed Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering;

  • Minimal 5 years of planning experience gained in a manufacturing or FMCG environment;

  • Oil & Gas industry and/or Energy Plants and/or Chemical Plants experience is an advantage;

  • Able to read DWG (CAD) drawings and PI&D's;

  • Experience of working with maintenance planning tool (Ultimo) and Oracle or ERP systems;

  • Experience in planning of shutdowns and/or turnarounds;

  • Experience of using excel to advanced level;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
