Main Purpose of Job

As a Supply Chain Planner you ensure the efficient utilisation of resources across the Supply Chain, both internally and externally. You anticipate, monitor, and maintain inventory levels across the production units and storage locations.

In this role your organization and communication skills will be critical as you work with many different departments such as operations, trade & logistics while providing an excellent service to our customers and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling chemicals, raw materials and sales orders based on the master plan.

  • Aligns plan with operations and identify short term issues, possible optimizations or constraints.

  • Collaborate and effectively communicate to make key decisions and prioritise supply issues in a timely, cost effective manner.

  • Calling off and receiving orders from supplier, customers and transport companies.

  • Administer orders in ERP system for planning, execution and invoicing.

  • Maintain different reporting systems to make sure that all forms of documentation are accurate and also timely.

Your key relationships will be:

  • Master Planner, other Supply Chain Planners and the transport specialist to ensure an effective planning service to all sites and stakeholders.

  • Local operations team to ensure plans are clear and as the escalation point for local inventory issues.

  • Main point of contact for customers, suppliers, transport companies regarding deliveries and collections.

  • Frequent liaison with the Trade Team regarding queries on supplier contracts to ensure issues are escalated.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths (B or level 5) - desirable

  • Qualification in planning or supply chain (desirable)

  • Supply Chain experience gained in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable)
