Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the yard and outside areas of the facility. Responsible for all tractor and Bowser work on site. Off loading of fertiliser and Woodflour. Daily checks on all site vehicles

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Operational Activities

  • Control all on site tractor and bowser work
  • Daily checks on all on site vehicles.
  • HP jetting when required
  • Assist Tank Operations when required
  • Clean and tidy yard, and outside areas
  • Using forklift truck and Manitou around site, following appropriate safety procedures
  • Utilise a variety of relatively simple hand tools with limited control adjustments ensuring safety standards are always adhered to.
  • Conduct general yard cleanliness and litter management.
  • Complete general housekeeping duties
  • Loading and offloading of chemical deliveries and supplies, as directed by site management
  • Assist with laundry service for Stanlow and AOT when required.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure a thorough knowledge of your Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Take responsibility for your own PPE ensuring appropriate storage and care.
  • Always strive to work in a manner safe to yourself and others and report any hazards immediately.
  • Ensure all staff and visitors operate in compliance with Safety regulations
  • Full responsibility for the safety of team members.
  • Actively participate in addressing Safety, Health and Environmental issues affecting the production areas, ensuring the relevant S, H&E checks are carried out.
  • Full knowledge of the Plant Emergency Procedures and associated responses are required.

Job requirements

Qualifications/ Knowledge & Experience

Qualifications

  • Trained forklift counterbalance driver
  • Full Driving Licence
  • HP jetting ticket would be advantageous

Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience of yard duties and tanker loading/unloading would be advantageous
  • Physical requirements include regular lifting within the guidelines of safe handling procedures.
  • Candidates should be outgoing, motivated, and can endure outside working conditions year round
  • To be able to drive a telehandler would be advantageous
  • Tractor and trailer experience required
  • Agricultural machinery experience advantageous
