QA/QC Specialist

Argent Energy, is a leading European waste-based biodiesel producer processing waste materials only and continuously search for new waste to be turned into higher value products. We are currently expanding our site with a new Water Treatment Plant, new Glycerine Plant and new Biodiesel Plant on our site in Amsterdam.

QA/QC Specialist (Fulltime)

Location: Amsterdam

You will manage, control and improve the existing quality management systems for the storage and handling of animal by-products (ABP) and waste materials. Also maintaining ISO22000 and SQAS at Cleaning Service Argent (CSA).

About the Job

• Managing our quality manuals together with the QA/QC manager, ensuring that the PDCA cycle is completed and obtain ABP permits/ approvals/ permissions for the new factories and make sure to be compliant with the requirements of existing permits.
• Support of internal stakeholders, like Supply Chain, Trade and Truckport with specific questions regarding the transport of animal by-products and waste (contract control, demonstrable tracing, issuing of waste stream numbers, transport documentation, etc.)
• Perform internal audits (including PvA's, trade documents, waste, UCO, outgoing materials)
• Leading external audits, send information to governments
• Register and follow up on deviations
• Report waste to LMA monthly and send information for destination checks cat1/2 to NVWA every 2 weeks.
• Maintain and request DBP permissions
• Checking new DBP supplier (checking accreditations and method 1) and check the information in the contracts.
• Keeping up with legislation and assessing and implementing changes

Department:

The QHSSE department within Argent Energy is responsible for the continuous realization of improvements and quality assurance through knowledge and expertise in the field of safety, health, site security, quality and environment. This department also monitors compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including certifications and permits. The department currently consists of 4 employees, including the QHSSE manager, 2 Quality Assurance manager and 2 HSE officers.

About You

• Bachelor level (HBO working/thinking level )
• Able to understand Dutch legislation
• Dutch speaking and writing
• Minimal 5 -10 years working experience in a QA/QC function
• Preferably experience with animal by-products, but in any case demonstrable with ISO22000 or HACCP or a comparable quality assurance/control system .
• Preferably experience with waste materials, Dutch waste legislation and EVOA  
• Socially skilled
• Convincing and decisive
• Analytical and flexibel
• Good team work ethic
• Collaborative and builds good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
• Pro-active, self-motivated and ability to use own initiative
• Great attention to detail
• Continuous improvement and solutions driven
