The Argent Biodiesel production will be further expanded in the coming years through the construction of a new production plant at our location in Amsterdam. As a result, the operations planning team needs an additional:

Operations Planner

Fulltime based in Amsterdam


Main purpose of the job:

Anticipate, monitor, and maintain inventory levels across the production units and storage locations. Ensure the efficient utilisation of resources across the Supply Chain, both internally and externally.

About the job

  • Ensuring timely and correct administration of i.e. Purchase / Transfer/ Work Orders for chemicals and raw materials and sales orders for biodiesel and by-products based on master plans formulated centrally.

  • Calling off and receiving orders from supplier, customers and transport companies.

  • Administering orders in ERP system for planning, execution and invoicing (including, customs data, transport data, sector-specific conditions, etc).

  • Planning and prioritising operations to optimise performance.

  • Collaborate and effectively communicate within the Supply Chain to make key decisions and prioritise supply issues in a timely, cost effective manner.

  • Aligns plan with operations and identify short term issues or constraints.

About You

You recognize yourself in the following competences:

  • Ability to multitask, prioritising tasks where appropriate.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proactive and positive approach in the workplace.

In addition, you have:

  • MBO level 4 - Supply chain planner preferably

  • Relevant qualification in business, planning or supply chain (desirable)

  • Supply Chain or Logistic experience gained in a manufacturing or FMCG environment (desirable)

  • Experience in Inventory management

  • Experience of working with Oracle or other ERP systems
