Mechanical Completion Engineer

Main Purpose of Job

We are looking for a Mechanical Completion Engineer to join and strengthen our team due to the upcoming Biodiesel Plant construction. As our Mechanical Completion Engineer, you will have the opportunity to prepare, compile and submit the Project Completion Dossier to ensure all requirements and specifications are met and signed off in a timely manner. 

The site will commission new plants in 2024 and 2025. Supporting and developing these plants after commissioning will give you ample opportunity to develop further in this role.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Operational Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all equipment possesses its Inspection Test Plan (ITP) documentation in the designated software.
    • Collaborate with the team to compile comprehensive test packs within the designated software.
    • Provide support for the mechanical completion process, ensuring that all necessary documentation and procedures are in place and followed.
    • Work closely with the project team to assist in troubleshooting and help resolve any gaps on mechanical completion issues that may arise.
    • Maintain the software once the Implementation have started.
    • Help witness testing in the field and help ensure contactors follow up with documentation.

Job requirements

About You

You recognize yourself in the following competencies: highly organized with attention to details, ambitious, quality-conscious, multi-tasking, resilient attitude, 'out of the box' thinker and a teamplayer. You also bring:

  • Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree, or equivalent
  • Project engineering experience and desire to lead your own projects
  • Continuous Improvement training useful
  • 1 - 2 years experience working in a process plant is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of change management within a challenging environment
  • Excellent facilitation skills to engage a cross-functional team towards a desired outcome
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire actions
  • Commercial acumen with strong business analytical skills
