Main Purpose of Job

Responsible for the incoming and outgoing material and stocks for the facility. These include feedstock, Biodiesel movements and raw material requirement.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Operational Activities

  • Completion of Excise paperwork accurately, ensuring all references and indexes are updated and easily followed.
  • Ensure all drivers are fully inducted before carrying out any tasks on site.
  • Ensure that all drivers are aware of their responsibilities relative to the task they are completing
  • Operation of Argent equipment, ensuring compliance with the relevant SOP
  • Compliance with feedstock testing/sampling procedures before commencing with product transfer
  • General maintenance and problem solving of Argent equipment
  • Oracle ERP data input for all goods in and out of the plants.
  • Weigh in & out all vehicles
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in good condition and stored correctly.
  • Liaise closely with Plan personnel to ensure all requirements for material/tankers are understood and addressed.
  • Liaise with hauliers, suppliers & customers on all Logistics related matters
  • Order materials as and when required.
  • Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying and general office enquiries.
  • Manage and maintain the stock of Stationery.
  • Work closely with Senior Operators/Shift Managers/Plant Manager to report on progress and highlight potential issues.
  • Administration for stock management.
  • Ensure all records for incoming raw materials correctly show the carrier/ plant etc. as required for APHA Vet audits.
  • Ensure HMRC documentation is up to date and in line with best practice.
  • Ensure all raw materials carriers and critical waste suppliers hold the appropriate licensing.
  • Ensure company complies with all aspects required of it by HMRC with regards to materials movements.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the sustainability requirements at all critical points in accordance with ISCC.
  • Collection and testing of raw material samples in accordance with the relevant SOP.
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces whilst cleaning the tankers.

Health and Safety

  • Ensure a thorough knowledge of your Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Always wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Take responsibility for your own PPE ensuring appropriate storage and care.
  • Always strive to work in a manner safe to yourself and others and report any hazards immediately.
  • Ensure all staff, contractors and visitors operate in compliance with Safety regulations & PPE requirements.
  • Full responsibility for the safety of team members.
  • Actively participate in addressing Safety, Health and Environmental issues affecting the production areas, ensuring the relevant S, H&E checks are carried out.

Full knowledge of the Plant Emergency Procedures and associated responses are required

Job requirements

Qualifications/ Knowledge & Experience

Qualifications

  • School level GCSE’s minimum grade 4 in Maths and English

Specific Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Previous logistics experience desirable, full training will be given
  • Previous office management and clerical experience desirable
  • FLT/Telehandler experience desirable but not essential
  • PC and IT literate including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
